Carrell Group’s Florence, South Carolina project was recently recognized as one of the most innovative ICF projects in the country. The honor was presented as part of the ICF Builder Awards, an international competition designed to showcase the advantages of building with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs). Carrell Group was awarded first place in the “Unlimited Residential Division.” Projects are recognized for outstanding innovation, quality and craftsmanship in ICF construction.
ICF systems reduce energy costs, block exterior noise, are resilient against high winds, and are considered a “green building” technique. The Carrell Group has built nearly 75 ICF homes in the Carolinas, with several more under construction at the current time. The Builder Awards competition is an annual event designed to showcase the innovation, quality, and energy-efficiency of ICF construction, and promote them as a sustainable, durable and attractive building material.
